The Inter-regional Festival of Withe-Weaving "Willow, Willow"

The inter-regional project "Willow, Willow" is one of the most important festivals in Ryazan region since it is inextricably linked to the historical heritage and folk traditions of the region – namely, to withe-weaving.

In Shilovo, one of the recognized centers of withe-weaving, the true masters of weaving will get together to demonstrate the best examples of products and share the subtle features of their skill.

Each visitor may try his hand in making his own protecting talisman from the withe and become the participant of traditional folk rituals.

In addition to the exhibition of goods made by masters of withe-weaving from Ryazan and other regions, the event itinerary is supposed to feature theatrical performance and auction of artistic items produced from the withe.
